Details
A marquise flower at the lobe carrying a pear on a single hinge. The flower is rigid and the drop is not, so the earring holds its shape at the top and moves at the bottom — which is how a chandelier earring stays legible instead of becoming a blur.

Care
Emerald is softer than diamond and is cut with its inclusions rather than against them, so it dislikes heat, ultrasonic baths and solvents — including the alcohol in most perfume. Clean it with a soft brush, warm water and nothing else.
Platinum does not tarnish. It moves: over years the surface gathers a fine matte patina, which is the metal displacing rather than wearing away, and which a polisher can return to a mirror whenever you would rather have one.
